- ½ Cup Rice
- 1 Cup Water
- ½ tsp. Vegetable Oil
- 1/4 tsp. Salt or to taste
Wash the rice under running water and soak it in water for 30 minutes before cooking.
Drain the rice & place all ingredients in a large glass or any other microwave safe bowl. Note: the rice expands during cooking, so be sure to choose a container that is large enough.
Microwave on high, uncovered, for 6 minutes. Microwave on medium, uncovered, for 3 minutes.
Check the rice by crushing it with a fork, if the grain is still slightly hard. Cook for another 2 minutes.
Let the cooked rice rest in microwave for 3 minutes.
Once the rice is cooked, drain excess water if any.
